Wimbleball Lake is located in Somerset and comprises of nearly 400 acres of water. The large lakeside location is centred within the picturesque countryside of Exmoor and offers a wide range of activities for all ages and abilities. Enjoy a range of water sports such as kayaking, sailing, and windsurfing or swing through our 40ft high ropes course set within Wimbleball woodland. The Lake is perfect for use all year round with vast expanses of water sheltered within the valley.

The safety of the lakeside environment makes our lakes a no1 destination for families on holiday in the South West, however, Wimbleball Lake still remains a firm favourite with schools and regularly hosts large events. Wimbleball Lake offers a great range of sporting activities to keep the whole family entertained, nonetheless you can relax and enjoy what Wimbleball has to offer by walking the nature paths, cycle off-road, bird watch, fish or visit the onsite café for light refreshments, there is also a children’s play area.
Extend your stay at Wimbleball and choose to camp or glamp in one of our luxury wooden glamping pods. Our campsite overlooks the lakeside and is situated adjacent to our onsite café. At the lake you can enjoy fantastic fishing, Wimbleball is rated as a premier trout fishery which offers the unique opportunity for fishermen to fish from the banks or boat.

A self-launch permit must be purchased during our opening hours and under a “buddy” system can stay on the water after hours.
Junior watersports clubs runs 10:00 – 12:00.

It is essential that you contact Wimbleball prior to your arrival to check hire is available on the day and that there will be safety cover for the lake as occasionally there will be large events held onsite.
